Artist's Description

A planarian is a free-living flatworm that lives in quiet ponds or bodies of water. Planaria are often studied in the Biology classroom. They have the interesting ability to regenerate themselves when cut in half - the tail portion will grow a new head, and the head portion will grow a new tail. Planaria typically have somewhat odd-looking eyespots that can give the impression of being cross-eyed. That feature inspired this humorous portrait. In this image I've put the lowly creature in the spotlight and given it a moment of fame.

About Vic Eberly

Vic Eberly

I created most of the images that you see here using Ultra Fractal, a versatile and powerful software program. Some of my images are classic fractals, with repeating patterns at smaller or larger scales. But I often depart from that style. I love to experiment. While all of my images are abstract, I try to emulate a photographic look, evoke a mood, or create shapes that may stimulate the memories of the viewer. Welcome to my galleries.
